when AL-Ula emerged at the beginning of the 7th
century A H. as a main city in the area after the olis appcarance Qarh the city
of Wadi AL-Qura , it was under the rul of The ayyobans in Damascus .
In the 18 the AD . it was submitted to the Othmanyan and in
the 19th sentury AD. it belnged to AL- Madinah governrat . Then , it
belonged to Hail untl 1409 AH. then it belonged to Madinah again .
After Abdul Aziz became a king on the Hijaz in 1344 AH.- 1926AD. the
peopele of AL-Ula send a message to support Abdul Aziz as aruler .
It was one of the oldest towns known as Wadi AL-Qura and Didan . Nothing exactly
was known about its history, but the scientists agreed that its history goes
thowsands of years BC it witnessed several civilizations and if was ruled by
several countries . Prophet Muhammad passed it on his way to Tabouk battle and
prophet Saleh lived in it .
It is the town of jameel _ Buthaina Louver Serchers call it the
capital of monuments and the town of civilization . Its people call
it the brcile of mountains its people are famous for thei kindness and
hospitality . It has Saleh s towns or Saleh, s vileges o AL-Hijir . These are
names for the place of Thamud people and Nabatenans wkere their tombs are
engraved in the mountains in a beautiful strange way and known as palaces
because of the beauty of engraveng . Saleh s camel milking , the Islamic forts,
the train statins , the lions tombs Akmah mountain , AL-seleimah and of others
which are not discovered -are some of AL- Ula Antiquities.

that stats from the beginning of the 5th century BC till the end of the 3rd
century BC. the rule was by in heritation . Their power had been extended
till Aqaba Gulf . The history said that AL-lahyanieen did not expire.
Nabatea state
History has mentioned that Nabateans
came from Betra town in Jordan and their tombs are still in Madaen Saleh near
Al-Ula.

Gumada the secand in the 7th year of Hijrah . The same refrences menticred that
proplet Muhammad (peace be upon Him ) passed by it on his way to Tabouk in the
9th AH. In the 7th century of Is Islam. The name of AL-Ula was most cmmonly used
than ever before though . It was previously known as a village
AL-Ula in the Modern Age
The enrery of the Hijaz railway was
the first modern aspect that AL-Ula has witnessed , and there was station named
after it .
At the time of AL-Saud rule it has got as development and flourish as the other
cities of the kingdom . Lying on the old trade path , AL-Ula and AL-Hijr (Madaen
Saleh) become a very imoprtant city . It was known that they had controlled the
transportion of trade between North and south . They were two station s
for AL-Sham pilgrimage path and in the modern ages . they became two train
stations on AL-Hijaz railway in the servic of polgrims to the Holy Mosque . A
lot
of sciertists travelled to them because of their scientific importance in the
history of man although the two placaes need more study to revoke a lot of
ambiguity .
