THE NAME AND LOCATION
NAME
Al-ula as mentioned by yaqut in his book
consisted of the Arabic words Awallah and al-Qasr which joined together to form
al-Ulliyah which is basically the name of a place at the end of wadi al-qura
between al-ula and Syria. prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) stayed at Al-Ula
on his way to Tabuk and made a mosque there for prayer .
LOCAITON
AL -Ula is located in the northwest of the
kingdom of Saudi Arabia between the cities of Madina al Munawrra and Tabuk it is
about 380 kilometer from Madina al Mnawarra and 380 kilometres from Tabuk and 400
Km from Hail . And is located between 37 degrees, 26 minutes - north-
latitudes. and 52 degrees, 37 minutes -East- longitudes.
