There alot of antiquities signposts but what really is
found is little .
Madaen Saleh is tombs
engraved in rocks and represents Thamuds civilization , the
people of prophet Saleh (peace be upon him) . AL-kherebat in which there is
the camel milking It is a big basin . It was said that Saled s camel
as milking for people and it drinks water in that day as it is mentioned in
the Holy Quran . The engraved lion s
tombs in the rock fronts . It is called like this because of some animals
like lions engraved on the tombs . Akmah mountain which has an
old temple at the top . AL-Mabiat which is an old
settlement . Railway stations indicating
that AL-Ula was an important and a main station for the help of pilgrims
coming from AL-Sham . AL-Mazham which is a narrow
path in which the camel was slaughtered as said in legends . AL-Hawarah which is a smooth
big mountain from which saleh s camel came out and to which AL-Hawara
went after slaughtering the camel .
